Books connect us. I think that’s one of the reasons Karen Lausa spent years delivering books she loved to people incarcerated inside Colorado’s prisons with her Words Beyond Bars program. When the program ended, Karen asked whether I’d like to incorporate a book program inside Remerg. After wondering about mission creep for a second or two, I realized books are part of re-entry because…they connect us.

We are all about connections at Remerg, so that’s why I’m pleased to announce Books We Stand By, an online virtual book sharing program hosted by Remerg.
